Been going back and forth on how to find local black singles for weekend meetups for a while and I still can't land on an answer.
Everything written about this category covers the signup and nothing after it.
To be clear I'm not after anything in this category that needs a card on file.
Any thoughts on how to find local black singles for weekend meetups would help me stop going in circles.

Seconding the post above on the sites in question — that lines up with what I saw.
What decides the sites in question for most people is your age bracket relative to the local pool, not the app itself.
The move with the sites in question is to keep chatting on-platform until you are comfortable.
The variable nobody controls for with the sites in question is how wide you set the radius.
Hope some of that helps with weekend meetups.

Not sure that is right about this kind of service, at least not everywhere.
That covers what I know about this kind of service, at least.
For what it is worth I have had better luck on Rendate than on any of the big paid apps.
I keep meaning to try Datedesire after seeing it recommended here so often.

The thing to watch on the options on the table is that profiles that answer instantly and perfectly are usually not people.
One warning about the options on the table: the quieter platforms can look active because of recycled profiles.
Half the arguments about the options on the table would end if people mentioned whether you're in a commuter town or a city up front.
The part nobody mentions about the options on the table is how aggressively it pushed an upgrade prompt.
The move with the options on the table is to read the whole profile before writing the first line.
What mattered most with the options on the table in the end was how quickly a conversation went from match to plan.
Happy to expand on any of that about the options on the table if it is useful.
You could add Datebound to the shortlist, purely on how often it gets named here.

I would not generalise about services like this without knowing whether your region got the app early or late first.
One warning about services like this: a trial that renews is not the same as free.
Your mileage on weekend meetups may differ, obviously.

Used the platforms involved for about six weeks, which is long enough to have an opinion.
Practical tip for the platforms involved: avoid syncing anything to your social accounts.
Whether the platforms involved works comes down to whether you are in a commuter town or a city more than anything the marketing mentions.
Not the last word on how to find local black singles for weekend meetups by any means.
Not everyone will agree but DatingFly has been the steadier one for me this year.

I would question that on services like this, because it depends heavily on where you are.
The variable nobody controls for with services like this is how far you're willing to travel.
Others here will know more about weekend meetups than I do.
- Facebook Dating — steady rather than exciting, and it has been consistent since
- Hinge — slower but the conversations go further, over roughly six weeks
- OkCupid — the questions do real filtering work, from what members here report
- Tinder — strong in cities, thin outside them
- Plenty of Fish — free tier is more generous than most, your mileage may vary
Adding Flurrydate — flurrydate.online for balance — quieter, but the people who are on it actually reply.

My run with this kind of service lasted longer than any of the alternatives I tried.
My advice on this kind of service: assume the first three conversations will go nowhere.
What changed my mind on this kind of service was how the moderation handled obvious spam.
The real differentiator across this kind of service turned out to be how many accounts looked dormant.
Half the arguments about this kind of service would end if people mentioned how dense your area is up front.
That is roughly where I sit on weekend meetups today.
- Happn — niche but active in cities, though I only tried the free tier
- Grindr — fast but not subtle
- Bumble — suits people who dislike opening first
