RuneDate is a free dating site and community forum for adults. Browsing, matching and messaging are free, and they stay free.

RuneDate is strictly an adults-only service. Everyone who uses this site — to date, to browse or to post in the forums — must be at least 18 years old, or older where local law sets a higher age. If you told us you are under 18 and landed on this page, that is working as intended: there is nothing further for you here, and we would rather lose the visit than get this wrong.

We remove accounts that appear to belong to minors. If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, use the contact page and we will act on it.

What RuneDate is

Two things sit side by side. The first is free online dating — profiles, search by location and age, and messaging that does not meter you. The second is an open community forum where members compare dating sites and apps, talk about what works in their own city, and warn each other off things that waste money.

The forum is written by members. We do not seed it with staff posts pretending to be users, and we do not delete honest criticism of services we link to.

How this site pays for itself

RuneDate does not charge members. Some outbound links to other dating services are commercial, and some are simply links members posted because they use those sites. We do not accept payment to alter forum opinions, and a commercial relationship never buys a recommendation in our own copy.

Safety, briefly

Meet in public the first time. Tell someone where you are going. Arrange your own transport there and back. Keep conversations on the platform until you are comfortable moving them elsewhere, and never send money to someone you have not met.
