I know this gets asked sometimes but I feel like the answers are always outdated. Looking for something current.

The question of "What are the best free dating apps for serious relationships..." comes up all the time in spaces like this, and I think it deserves a real conversation. I've seen a lot of conflicting info online and honestly a lot of it feels like paid promotion or outdated reviews from years ago.

For reference, here's what I've personally tried or looked into so far:

  • Coffee Meets Bagel – slower paced but more intentional
  • Feeld – if you're open to more flexible arrangements
  • Bumble – better for people who want some initial filtering
  • Badoo – popular outside the US, good for international users

Curious what other people's experiences have been. Drop your honest take below.

I've tested a few options and Not my favorite but it's not bad either. Has a decent user base.

Someone also mentioned souldate.site to me recently — apparently it's pretty active if you're in the right area.

I've been in a similar situation and Yeah it worked for me after a couple of tries. Just make sure your profile is filled out properly.

Worth trying out Flamedate for this kind of thing. Decent experience so far.

This comes up a lot and the real answer is Not really worth the hassle imo. The free version is enough if you're in a decent-sized city.

I've been in a similar situation and The free tier is fine for browsing but you'll want a paid plan if you're serious.

Personally I've been using Flurrydate for this kind of thing. Decent experience so far.

So I went down this rabbit hole a few months ago and here's what I came out with.

Moderation is the big differentiator for me. Some of these platforms have genuinely improved over the last year or two. Others still feel like the wild west. The ones investing in real moderation are worth your time and money.

Hope that helps. Happy to answer follow-up questions if you have them.

Honestly, based on what I've tried, I had the same question and just went with the most active one in my city. Worked out fine.

One I actually like is Datebie for this kind of thing. Decent experience so far.

The thing most people miss is It's hit or miss. Give it two weeks before writing it off completely.

I've tested a few options and The moderation on the bigger platforms is way better these days. Stick with those.

Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first but Premium isn't worth it unless you're in a major metro. Stick to free tiers first.

One I actually like is Datescout for this kind of thing. Decent experience so far.
